Dr. Jack F. Altomonte graduated in the top five percent of his class from Montclair State University with a Bachelors Degree in Science. He earned his degree in Dentistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1985 and then began his residency at the Veterans Hospital in Castle Point, New York. Dr. Altomonte opened his practice in Union, New Jersey in 1987. In 2004, he and Dr. Kevin Corry, an oral surgeon, built the Altocor building to house their practices. To provide his patients with the most advanced dental care, Dr. Altomonte keeps his family dentistry practice up-to-date with the latest advances in technology through continuing education classes at the Jersey Shore Medical Center.


For more than 35 years, Dr. Altomonte has been a trusted provider of exceptional dental care. In 1991 he began treating New Jersey Devils hockey players; notably, some of the players are still his patients today. Dr. Altomonte strives to have a strong and trusting relationship with all of his patients and will make every effort to help you feel comfortable and ease your anxieties about dental procedures. He will take the time to explain each procedure, pray with you if it sets your mind at ease, and follow-up with you later in the day to see how you are feeling. He makes every effort to ensure you have a comfortable experience at his office. As a result of Dr. Altomonte’s gentle approach to dentistry, he has consistently received top ratings from his patients.


Dr. Altomonte has received distinguished awards for being among the top five percent of dentists in America. He has been selected by Consumer’s Research Council of America as one of America’s Top Dentists in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Dr. Altomonte lives in Watchung, New Jersey and has three children—Arielle, Adriana and Jack—and two grandchildren.
